Lights: Nude Pics of Her Online Are 'Faker Than Meg Ryan's Orgasm'

Lights released her single 'Toes' last year but the Canadian electro-pop singer wants fans to know that online naked photos currently circulating and revealing basically everything except the toes aren't of her.

Lights, born Valerie Poxleitner, tweeted that certain nude pictures online claiming to be of the singer are fakes. "There are nude photos of someone on the Internet that are supposed to be me," she said. "They're not. She doesn't even have tattoos! Just to be clear."

Shortly afterward she posted the same statement on her Facebook page which resulted in hundreds of comments. "I need real ones so I can determine which ones are fake," one fan quipped.

Son of Yardbirds Drummer Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

Simon Jasper McCarty, son of Yardbirds drummer Jim McCarty, has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges. He faces 15 to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced in June. McCarty is himself a musician as well, and ran a foundation providing musical lessons and concerts for orphans in other countries.

McCarty was first apprehended in 2008 at the Hilo airport in Hawaii when photos of nude children fell out of his bag while a TSA officer examined it. Further investigation uncovered more than 400 still images and 200 video clips of child pornography stored on his laptop and external hard drive.

On a late October afternoon in New York, the Wilderness of Manitoba set out to teach a few pasty music nerds about the joys of Canada. "We just got the internet," multi-instrumentalist Scott Bouwmeester jokingly tells Spinner about his native country. "There's a lot of good things on there." A long way away from their home in Toronto, the band stopped by our Manhattan office to share a few tunes from their newest album 'When You Left the Fire,' available now via tinyOGRE. But before they struck their first somber chord, constant touring had given the five-piece a few lingering questions about the US of A.

"There are weird wars between certain states. Like Missouri and Kansas don't like each other," singer Melissa Dalton says after touring the Midwestern states. "Well, I grew up in the Balkans, so I'm kind of used to that. So it's not really new," banjo player Stefan Banjevic chimes in assuredly. "Yeah, the Kansas/Missouri feud is exactly like the Balkans," Bouwmeester sarcastically retorts.

British prime minister David Cameron has always been keen to keep up with the cool kids' music. His everlasting praise for the Smiths has caused the band's liberal leaders to openly forbid the politician from liking them. Despite differences with his musical idols, Cameron's iPod continues to impress.

Recently speaking to The Telegraph, the Prime Minister revealed pop darling/lightning rod Lana Del Rey and Southern rockers Band of Horses are what he's currently jamming. But the statesman admits, a few questionable artists have begun to crop up amongst his MP3s. "Appalling" singers Bruno Mars and Katy Perry are "beginning to infect my iPod," Cameron tells reporters, referring to his daughters' favorite music. Del Rey's debut 'Born to Die' has yet to hit shelves -- will the conservative politician's support kill her blogger buzz?

Madonna names new album 'MDNA'

Madonna has revealed that the name of her forthcoming new album will be 'MDNA'.

'MDNA' is Madonna's 12th studio album and her first effort since 2008's 'Hard Candy'. Madonna broke the news of the title during a pre-recorded interview with Graham Norton for his BBC1 show.

Last month a man was been arrested for leaking a recording of Madonna's forthcoming new single 'Gimme All Your Luvin''. Police did not give the name of the man arrested in the city of Zaragoza in northern Spain, but they said his initials were JMR. They also said he was a big Madonna fan. He was charged and released, a police statement said.

Lawyers for the singer, who said in November that she was very upset over the leak, traced the posting to Spain. Police said they found recordings of the song in a search of the suspect's belongings, reports Reuters.

The pop icon will release the track in the last week of January, shortly before she takes to the stage to perform during the half-time show of Super Bowl XLVI on February 5. The completed version of the new track features Nicki Minaj and MIA .
